Full details are below, including what I have tried and my system info. Or if u guys know of any other better method or software, please help me out here… and sorry for the VERY LONG post. So, as shown in the title, I am unable to get GTA 4 to launch after installing any ENB modification.
So request anyone who can help to please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong or if any software is outdated. Been so worried about this that for past 2 days I’m spending all my time trying to do this rather than play the game. Been playing already for little over a week and already I can see some slight scrathes developing. I’m afraid that by the time I’m done with the game, the disc will probably be completely unusable. GTA is a very long game and I’d probably be playing this for the whole of next month (working, so). I’m only looking to do this coz I’m really worried about the disc getting screwed up. I dont mind trying the other method of burning a copy of the DVD, but this is a Dual Layer DVD and right now I dont have any and dont think I can afford to waste many dual layer DVDs trying to get this to work.īTW, just so that some jerk doesnt mention it, let me make it clear that I have the Original GTA 4 disc which I rightfully bought. So are these two outdated? Since Pr0t.St0p v1.1 was posted on 15-02-2007 and Y.A.S.U v was posted on 23-11-2008.Ĭan someone please also specify what settings should be turned ON or OFF in DTools and Alcohol other than what Kalas has mentioned (if any). Securom gives the same message about detecting a emulation software.įrom the message, I feel that the cloaking softwares (YASU and ProtSt0p) arent really working, since Securom is able to detect the presence of DTools and Alcohol.
For your SafeDisc protected CDs (this also works for SecuROM protected games without the tools I mentioned before!) these tools didn’t work so you have to disable your IDE channel connected to your optical drives (CDRW, DVDRW, CDROM, DVDROM) in your device manager and then start the game Update: Y.A.S.U works with latest SafeDisc titles up to version 4.7.On checking that link it says that it has detected a Emulation software like DTools or Alcohol 120 and so cant run the application. But when I try to do that, Securom checks the disc and gives an error message with a link. So, after this I should be able to run the game without the Original disc in the drive. When I click on cloak, it gives a message saying Cloaking done successfully.įor ProtSt0p: not sure if this is supposed to be used alongwith YASU or seperately, but tried both ways.
But here’s what I did:įor YASU, copied the files to the DTools install folder and run it from there. Well, I have never used these two before and read the ReadMe a couple of times but didnt really get a very good idea of them.
Hardware: * Sony DVD RW AW-G170A (Present in Alcohol's Supported Drives List)ĭid NOT check with Protection ID, got this info from Daemon Tools' () * DAEMON Tools: DAEMON Tools Lite v4.30.2 (with SPTD 1.56)
System: * Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (Build 2600) Well I have tried all the steps mentioned in that guide for making a virtual disc and running it from a virtual drive, but am not getting desired result. Sorry to bring this back after 1 week, but I was googling specifically for emualting GTA 4 DVD and found this.
